Pam's People Competition 2015 Information

Quick Info
  • Free to enter
  • NAWG members only
  • Closed 21st August 2015
  • 250 words

The Pam's People competition, which was started a few years ago and has gone from strength to strength, is now closed. This competition is for NAWG members only and free to enter.

Are you one of Pam's People? This has been set up to keep you all out of mischief over the summer break and be industrious with your time until the Festival of Writing. The first prize is a high street voucher, to the value of £ 20, a spot in the 2015 Write Path anthology and publication on the NAWG web site. If we get a lot of entries there may be other goodies up for grabs…

Write a complete story, interesting article or a piece of descriptive prose about anything, in 250 words. Make me laugh, make me cry or make me amazed by your word power, but most of all – enter! Let me know what talent we have hiding within the groups.

The rules are simple.

  1. Be a member of NAWG.
  2. Write 250 words, exactly, including title.
  3. Only one entry per member.
  4. Double spaced, typed if possible, but I will accept hand writing, as long as it is your best "posh" stuff. No scribbling on the backs of envelopes. Do not put your name on your entry.
  5. Name, address, phone number and e-mail address, if you have one, and the name of your writing group or individual member, if you are one, all on a separate sheet.

Please note that this competition is now closed.

You can keep an eye out on the Pam's People articles for future competitions.

The winner was announced at the Festival of Writing, and was presented with the prize and a certificate at the gala dinner, the pinnacle of our writing year. The gala dinner awards ceremony was an exceptional event that took place during the festival on 4th–6th September, 2015.
