Secretary's Report for the Committee Meeting on 10th January 2026 by Violet Rook
December to date of meeting January 2026.
- Sent minutes to committee members.
- Sent membership report to committee members.
- Set up a WhatsApp group for committee members.
- Attended a Zoom meeting with Liz Ashcroft, Henry Curry. Topic: the database on Dropbox. This was adapted and some items archived.
- Also attended the Zoom Christmas meeting and the Christmas Quiz.
- Zoom discussions with Treasurer.
- Database amendments made in regard to removing members who had not renewed after two reminders.
- Put 5 new members on database, including one from Spain, who had joined via the special membership offer.
- Discussions with Vanessa Lester and other committee members in regard to the special membership offer. This resulted in my sending emails about the offer to members who had not renewed this past year and also to other members to stimulate interest. Also prepared a gift special membership letter.
- Sent a Welcome Letter, a copy of the magazine plus a copy of the most recent e-newsletter to the 5 new members.
- Sent a "Happy New Year" email to the full paid up members of NAWG.
