Dave Simpson
Dave Simpson is one of the UK's most prolific and respected playwrights. A former writer-in-residence at Manchester's Library Theatre, his comedy, Girls Night Out enjoyed a successful run on the West End followed by a national tour that lasted for three years. His adaptation of The Railway Children for Birmingham Rep enjoyed a 25 week tour of the UK and has now become an often performed favourite with am dram and student companies worldwide.
His many other plays include The Cheeky Chappie, Soapbox, The Naked Truth and Blind Date.
Dave's TV credits include Starting Out, Coronation Street, The Bill and five years writing episodes of Emmerdale.
